"On Mount Zion"

Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. Revelation 14:1 ESV
The vision of this verse is the victorious Lamb of God standing in the city of God with the saved. The names of Jesus and God written on their foreheads declares them as His possession.
When I read this verse I find great comfort in it. It tells me that I stand with the King. I have been bought with a price and am marked as His. Ephesians 1:13 speaks to this marking; In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit ESV The Holy Spirit is what signifies our belonging to Him.
We as followers of Jesus have our place assured. We need not worry about the things to come. We are marked as His. Our place awaits on mount Zion. We will be with Him some day.
So today, let’s live like we are already there. Let’s stand in His presence confident of our salvation, confident of our victory in Jesus.

"The Corner Stone"

For it stands in Scripture: “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”      1 Peter 2:6 ESV
Jesus is our cornerstone. He makes the foundation of His church true. Chosen and precious in the sight of God, He sets the direction for His church.
The term cornerstone used to describe Jesus speaks to His perfect character. Just like a cornerstone in the foundation of a building must be square and true in order to have a square and strong foundation, Jesus is our spiritual cornerstone. He sets by His example, the true way in how His church should be built.
Jesus is the cornerstone and the apostles teachings are the base of the foundation of His church. Ephesians 4:20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, ESV As we are added to the church we are added to this great house. 1 Peter 2:5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. ESV
God chose Jesus as the one He would build His house on. We who believe have left all shame behind and now live in the family of God. With Christ as our cornerstone our spiritual House will stand for eternity.
So today, let’s trust in our foundation knowing that we stand on solid ground and have nothing to fear or worry about as long as we keep our place in this great spiritual house.
